In this blog post we focus on one of our larger corporate clients, AMP Australia. We have been working with AMP for the last three years and although the work we do for AMP is “high pressure”, they are one of our most interesting clients to work with.
We transcribe AMP’s quarterly financial announcements and Annual General Meetings which usually involves transcription of both the media and analyst briefings and occasionally closed door wires meetings. AMP is one of the few clients that we regularly go onsite to audio record their meetings as a backup to the technology we use in our office. Typically we live record from streaming video and phone conference feeds. We ensure that all bases are covered while live recording. For Internet, we use a mix of wired Internet and 3G mobile data in case of a rare ADSL drop out. We also record on a mix of desktop and laptop computers with fully charged batteries in case of electrical and UPS failure. All of this is backed up with our digital audio recording specialist onsite at AMP’s office (in case the onsite audio/visual team has issues) providing the stream of audio for our team of transcription typists to process while the meeting is in progress, allowing us to meet a two hour turnaround time with generally four hours of audio to transcribe.
For our larger corporate clients we have the ability to dedicate our resources quickly to any transcription project large or small by calling on our scalable pool of Australian based typists. Even with the fast turnaround projects quality is never compromised, we can assign a large number of transcription typists to corporate projects but we will always use only one or two onsite proofreaders who ensure quality and consistency in all our transcribed documents. The same model we use for all of our clients big or small.
Thank you AMP for your continued support of Australian business.
